Two years later and I still remember the day clearly. I can’t imagine how the families, friends, loved ones, and the town feels. I still remember the significance, the loss, and the tragedy of that day. I still think of the children and the other victims, and my heart still hurts.
Life moves on, but that day stands still.
I ask, why have we not done what is needed to make sure that never happens again?
Never forget, so that we don’t forget to keep working on making positive strides. Never forget because no matter how many tears we cry, how many prayers we utter, and how many lives we do have, we cannot change what happened. And those children cannot be forgotten.
