About Me

Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer, which all started five years ago after a long, challenging, and rewarding journey towards my weight loss goals, which you can read about throughout my posts and under the page, My Weight Loss Journey. Having gone through this transformation, I’ve gained new passions in fitness, food, and wellness, which have led me to pursue my personal training certification so that I can help others find their health, happiness, and strength.

At 26, I still have a lot to discover about this world and my place in it. My life, like everyone else’s, is a series of ups and downs, but I try to reflect on every experience and make something out of it. Since graduating from college, I have had three different careers, two of which I like to think I’ve retired from gracefully. We all have our niches, but it’s a learning curve in the most difficult and delicious way to search for it.

The idea for this blog started four years ago when my sister told me I had a funny way of looking at the world and should document the silliness that makes up my life. That’s her way of saying I’m dramatic, but in a self-deprecating and funny way. My dream is to write for television and write an epic novel about mermaids. I can be obsessive, passionate, and anxious and I don’t know what it says about me that my three favorite things are Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’ve been known to throw up when I get overly excited, sing musicals in random and relevant situations, and share my stream of consciousness out loud. I’m shy when I first get to know you, but once I grow comfortable, it’s like a new person explodes all over you. People often look at me with wonder and say, “I didn’t know you were funny.” I like the surprise.

Exciting things are sure to come and I hope you enjoy reading about them!
